Are we as Americans safer today after all the wrong deeds in Gitmo, Iraq and Afghanistan?

We aren't safer, but the danger doesn't come from the people we've abused, it comes from the amount of power we've handed over to government entities who I personally wouldn't trust to mow my lawn. People who trade security for freedom won't get either.
