What size paintball jersey should i wear?

i wear a large in regular T-shirt size but im not sure what size paintball jersey to get. i can wear a medium in t-shirts also. i recently bought a invert jersey on ebay and it is a medium and im not sure it will fit because it hasnt got here yet. I have heard that some jerseys are made big.
