Hey Christians, do you think that usury (which The Bible strictly forbids) is a terrible thing?

Because I think that it's unforgivable. Taking advantage of the poor (who are the least able to afford it) and capitalizing on another human beings desperation should be a major sin, and it used to be a crime (it still should be). What kind of a person does that?
