When a celebrity "Has it all",what makes them ruin it by showing their true self?

There's Britney showing her true "Country Ghetto" self,then Mel came out of the bigot closet and then there's A.N. Smith who let the world know how stupid rich people could be.What made these celebrities think that showing their true self would be a GOOD thing.Hearing all these stories just makes me feel so smart.
